I gained life-changing insight into my depression, anxiety, and unhealthy relationship with alcohol. This program helped me face issues I had been avoiding, develop healthier coping skills, and reclaim control of my life. The individual therapy and group sessions were intentional, challenging, and deeply impactful. Every facilitator truly cares and is fully committed to your recovery—not just saying it, but living it. The support here is genuine, the environment is welcoming, and the community feels like family. If you are ready to show up, surrender, and take recovery one day at a time, Empowered Recovery Center will meet you there and walk with you every step of the way.Posted on Sean McLemoreTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to Empowerment Recovery for the life-saving care and support they provided to my son. He was homeless and battling Fentanyl and meth addiction in Las Vegas. We had no idea where he was or what to do until we finally found him, and that’s when we reached out to Dylan at Empowerment Recovery. From the moment we contacted Dylan, everything fell into place. Empowerment Recovery handled everything from there, guiding us through each step of the process. Dylan and the entire staff were incredible — compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable. They made what felt like an impossible situation manageable and gave us peace of mind when we didn’t know what decisions to make. We never had to worry once we were in their hands. Thanks to their expertise, my son has been sober for 10 months and is doing amazing! I couldn’t be more thankful for the care he received and the ongoing support that has helped him turn his life around. I truly believe Empowerment Recovery saved his life, and I will be forever grateful. If you’re in need of help, you’re in the right place. I could not be happier with the results and how far my son has come. Thank you again, Empowerment Recovery!Posted on Troy RoundyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Types of Addiction Treatment Programs
Ranging in levels of intensity and commitment, our various types of rehab programs utilize a number of evidence-based addiction treatment methods including therapy, medication-assisted treatment, dual diagnosis care, and more to help our patients move forward on their path to sobriety.
Seeking treatment for addiction is a deeply personal experience; and for that reason, we believe your treatment should be equally as personalized.
Drug & Alcohol Detox
For many people, the first step of their addiction recovery is physically detoxifying their body — cleansing their system of any substances. Depending on the substance and severity of addiction, this can become a dangerous medical situation if not handled properly.
In these cases, a patient is recommended to check into a drug and alcohol detox program in Kansas City. At Empowered Recovery Center, our medical team carefully monitors our patients’ health throughout their detox, relieving them of as much discomfort as possible throughout the process.
The length of a person’s detox depends on many factors, including if the patient has any health conditions, the type of substance, and if there were multiple substances being used. In general, a detox can last anywhere from three to 14 days.1 During this process, the focus is on getting your body back to a healthy place so you can focus on your recovery and ongoing treatment.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
After completing their detox protocol, many patients will begin their addiction treatment by joining our partial hospitalization program (PHP). This program offers a balance of independence, accountability, and skill-building while allowing a patient to remain living in the comfort of their own home.
Empowered Recovery Center’s PHP is the most intensive level of outpatient care we offer, with patients spending 25 to 30 hours a week in treatment. These sessions are filled with individual and group therapy, relapse prevention training, medical consultations, and dual diagnosis treatment to address any co-occurring mental health disorders.
Our PHP patients meet at our outpatient facility 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday (with a break for lunch). Outside of these treatment hours, our PHP patients are able to meet any work, family, or other obligations they have.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The step down from a PHP is an intensive outpatient program (IOP). IOPs still include considerable time with our medical and clinical staff (9–20 hours a week), but offer more flexibility for someone who has a more moderate substance abuse disorder or has already completed higher levels of care.
At Empowered Recovery Center, our IOP patients typically attend treatment three to five days a week, either choosing to take part in the morning session (9 am to 12 pm) or the evening session (6 pm to 9 pm).
Standard Outpatient Rehab
Of all our levels of rehab care, the least intensive is our standard outpatient rehab program. This program is designed for patients who have completed higher levels of care and those who are confident in applying the coping skills they’ve learned to life’s stressors.
Outpatient patients typically are in treatment for nine hours or less a week, meaning they are very close to completely transitioning back to their everyday lives.
Aftercare & Alumni Program
When you complete any kind of treatment programs for addiction, your risk of relapse doesn’t suddenly disappear. You’ll still experience temptation and triggers in your daily life. And in those difficult moments, it can be life-saving to have someone to lean on and learn from.
At Empowered Recovery Center, we understand the importance of rehab aftercare for our patients after they complete one of our addiction treatment programs. For this reason, we offer every single graduate a year of recovery coaching from one of our skilled team members.
We also offer our patients access to our rehab alumni program. At alumni events hosted at our rehab programs in Kansas City, you can talk to someone who has been in the very same spot you were and got through it. It’s a great opportunity to get additional support and build a sober network of friends.
Support and community are key in maintaining long-term sobriety, and we make sure you’re equipped with both as you venture back into your life.

With several levels of care, evening schedules, and flexibility in the number of days of attendance, you can build a treatment schedule that complements your life — allowing you to continue working, and follow through on any family obligations you may have.
Personalized Treatment Plans
We customize each and every patient’s treatment protocol. After getting to know you, our medical and clinical team work side-by-side to curate a combination of methods and services that is going to be the most impactful for you, your life, and your goals.
This combination is different for every person and continues to evolve as you move through your sobriety journey. This plan can include:
- Addiction Therapies: individual, group, and family therapy address underlying factors contributing to your addiction.
- Trauma-Informed Therapy: trauma therapy teaches you how to cope and overcome the lingering effects of a traumatic event.
- Holistic Treatment: a holistic approach to treatment combines traditional addiction treatment elements with methods that address the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual sides of a person.
- Dual Diagnosis Treatment: dual diagnosis methods help treat mental health disorders like depression, anxiety, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and more while treating your addiction.
- Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT): if you’re a good fit for medication-assisted treatment (MAT), this doctor-supervised protocol can help mitigate any withdrawal symptoms and cravings to help you stay focused on your recovery.
Affordable Programs
While inpatient rehab programs in Kansas City are necessary for some people, they can also be very expensive and time consuming, as the patient is living on-site and receiving 24/7 care.
With an outpatient program, you’re not needing to pay for a bed, food, or some of the other overhead expenses associated with a residential program. Because of this, you’ll see that the cost of outpatient rehab programs is significantly cheaper than many other treatment options.
