From Central Kansas City, Missouri

If you’re coming from central Kansas City, Missouri, start by making your way to Grand Boulevard heading south. This will take you toward the Midtown and Westport areas, where Empowered Recovery Kansas City is located.

From Grand Boulevard, turn right onto East 20th Street, then make a left onto Main Street. Continue south on Main Street for about 2.6 miles, passing Wendy’s on your right. When you reach West 41st Street, turn right.

Next, turn right onto Central Street, then make a quick left back onto West 41st Street. Make another left on to Broadway Boulevard and Empowered Recovery Kansas City will be on your left at 4177 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64111.

Via I-35 South

If you’re coming to Empowered Recovery Kansas City via I-35 South, start by making your way toward Truman Road from central Kansas City, MO. From there, turn right onto East 13th Street, then left onto Grand Boulevard. Continue briefly, then turn right onto Truman Road and follow the signs to merge onto I-35 South.

Once on I-35 South, use the left lane to take Exit 1A for Southwest Trafficway. Merge onto SW Trafficway and continue for about 1.3 miles. Next, turn right onto West 38th Street, then left onto Summit Street, and another left onto West 39th Street.

From West 39th Street, turn right onto Broadway Boulevard and in about a half mile Empowered Recovery Kansas City will be on your left at 4177 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64111.

Via US-71 South

If you’re coming to Empowered Recovery Kansas City from central Kansas City, MO via US-71 South, start by getting onto I-70 East/US-71 South. Take the ramp to merge onto I-70 East/US-71 South toward I-35 South/I-670 West.

Continue on US-71 South for about 3 miles, keeping left to stay on the highway and following signs for Joplin. Take the exit toward 39th Street, then merge onto Michigan Avenue. Turn right onto East 39th Street and follow it for roughly 1.2 miles.

Next, turn left onto Warwick Boulevard, then right onto East 41st Street. Make a quick right onto Main Street, followed by a left onto West 41st Street. Turn right onto Central Street, then left again onto West 41st Street. Make one final left onto Broadway Blvd and Empowered Recovery Kansas City will be on your left at 4177 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64111.

From Kansas City, Kansas

If you’re coming from Kansas City, Kansas, start by getting onto I-70 East crossing into Missouri. Continue on I-70 East and take Exit 2A for I-35 South toward Wichita. Stay on I-35 South for about 2 miles, then use the left lane to take Exit 1A for Southwest Trafficway. Merge onto SW Trafficway and continue for approximately 1.3 miles.

From there, turn right onto West 38th Street, then left onto Summit Street, and another left onto West 39th Street. Continue for about 0.3 miles before turning right onto Broadway Boulevard. Finally Empowered Recovery Kansas City will be on your left at 4177 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64111 about two blocks after passing Snooze Eatery on your left.

Yes, smoking and vaping is allowed at our Kansas City drug and alcohol rehab. We just ask that all patients who smoke or vape use the designated smoking areas outside the building. 

At Empowered Recovery Kansas City, the length of treatment depends on each person’s unique needs and progress. We generally recommend that patients remain in treatment for at least 90 days, as research shows this timeframe significantly increases the likelihood of lasting recovery. However, many of our patients choose to continue treatment and support for up to six months or longer.

Longer engagement in structured treatment provides more time to build healthy coping skills, strengthen relapse prevention strategies, and create a solid foundation for long-term sobriety. While we encourage everyone to stay in treatment for at least 90 days to achieve the best results, our programs are entirely voluntary, and patients are free to leave at any time.

Yes! You can still get treatment even if you don’t have insurance or if your insurance isn’t accepted at our drug and alcohol rehab in Kansas City. 

If you don’t have insurance we can work with you on various payment methods like private pay, and even get you started on a payment plan so you don’t have to put treatment on hold because of the costs. 

If you have insurance but we aren’t in-network with your plan, we still encourage you to contact our admissions team. We may still be able to work with your plan if they offer out-of-network benefits or refer you to a different program that can work with your insurance plan.
